At Lighthouse Family Centre, we believe that support for children shouldn’t end when they leave the early years. That’s why we’re developing dedicated youth services that give young people in Worcester a space to connect, express themselves, and feel part of something positive.

Whether it’s after school sessions, holiday clubs or small group support, our youth work is centred around inclusion, creativity and emotional wellbeing.

Our youth services are designed to grow with the needs of the community. We currently provide:

  • Youth sessions during term time – informal, relaxed and designed to encourage friendships and confidence

  • Holiday programmes – creative, active and inclusive sessions to keep young people engaged during school breaks

  • Small group or individual support – for young people who need a safe space to talk or explore social and emotional development

  • Opportunities to contribute – young people help shape the programmes and activities that matter to them

Our sessions are welcoming to all and designed to be adaptable, inclusive and responsive.

A Safe Space for Everyone

We understand that adolescence can be a challenging time. That’s why we focus on creating safe, non-judgmental spaces where young people can:

  • Be themselves

  • Build new friendships

  • Try new experiences

  • Learn emotional resilience and self-regulation

  • Talk to trusted adults

  • Have fun in a supportive setting

Many of our team members have lived experience of SEND or neurodiversity, and we bring that empathy and insight into every session.

Life Skills & Confidence Building

Through a mix of structured activities and informal time, young people can:

  • Build social and communication skills

  • Explore creativity and hobbies

  • Gain a sense of belonging and purpose

  • Learn practical skills in a relaxed way

Whether it’s a cooking activity, a gardening project or simply sharing stories, everything we do is about building up confidence and self-belief.
