What We Offer

Our community programmes take place during term time and are designed to bring people together, reduce isolation, and offer practical and emotional support.

We hold a variety of sessions throughout the week, including:

• Stay & Play groups – friendly, informal sessions where parents, carers and children can play, socialise and build connections

• Parent support sessions – a safe space to share experiences, seek advice and meet others facing similar challenges

• SEND-friendly groups and sessions – inclusive, adaptable and welcoming to children of all abilities

• Individual or small group support – for families needing more tailored help

• Youth sessions and holiday programmes – creating positive opportunities for children and teenagers

Our programmes run primarily during term time. Sessions may vary throughout the year, so we always recommend checking our social media pages for the most up-to-date timetable and announcements.

Community Events

In addition to regular sessions, we host a variety of community events throughout the year, such as:

• Christmas family celebration

• Summer fun day

• Big Community Help Out

• Story sessions

• Swap events

These events are designed to be inclusive, enjoyable, and open to all local families.

Where We’re Based

Lighthouse Family Centre is proudly based at Medway Community Centre in Worcester.

Our setting includes:

• Dedicated baby, toddler and preschool rooms

• A fully equipped sensory room

• On-site kitchen for nutritious, homemade meals

• A spacious community room for events and support sessions

• Outdoor areas for play, gardening and woodland adventures

We proudly welcome families from across Worcester and the surrounding areas.
