Learning Through Play

Our days are guided by gentle routines and filled with meaningful experiences across all EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) areas. We use natural, open-ended resources that spark imagination and allow children to make choices, explore freely and build real-world skills.

From climbing, splashing and digging to painting, singing and caring for the garden, every moment is a learning opportunity.

"We believe messy, chaotic, imaginative play is exactly what children’s brains need to build resilience, focus and emotional intelligence."

Emotional Development First

At Lighthouse, we place just as much importance on emotional development and co-regulation as academic learning. Through caring, consistent relationships with staff, children learn to:

  • Name and understand emotions

  • Build secure attachments

  • Express themselves safely

  • Develop confidence and independence

Parent Partnerships

We believe that strong partnerships with families are key to each child’s success. That’s why we stay connected through:

  • Daily updates, photos and observations via our app

  • Open conversations at drop off and pick up

  • Invitations to stay and play sessions, events and celebrations

  • Social media updates to keep you informed and involved

Safeguarding & Wellbeing
